DATACENTRE UPGRADE
New server upgrade.
From the 1st of Novemeber we will be moving all websites to our new servers at a new datacentre, this will include new faster servers and a faster network than where we currently are.
We will also then have techs on hand to take care of any server issues on a 24/7/365 basis with an SLA in place to guarantee that if there was a server hardware failure of any kind the servers will be back up within 1 hour.

HAND CODED WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
All our web projects are built in-house with bespoke backend systems built to your requirements and easy to use CMS, (content management systems) and full administrative control via our bespoke built control panel.
Our CMS system has been developed in-house and we will be adding a live demo site soon so you can login and actually test our system to see just how easy it is to use. Every CMS is built to suit each individual website.

Winyard engineering website had a revamp.
Winyard engineering provide bespoke food processing industry equipment and food machinery from their base in Spalding Lincs and all of their equipment component parts are machined and fabricated within their own facilities.
A sophisticated backend system that took a lot of programming work but well worth the effort giving them full control over the whole site.

LINCOLNSHIRE SHOWGROUND EXHIBITION
What a great day! Exhibited at the lincolnshire showground on Wednesday 25th and even had time to sit through a couple of seminars.
The day started early and finished at around 3.30 but it was so busy the day just slipped away, a great event with many contacts made, all in all, a good day for Webcastle.

KAY BOOKS
The new Kay Books website has just been launched with a new design and backend system, we programmed in an upsell feature and also the facility to show the most popular books on the site that can easily changed via the admin section. Another feature built in is the coupon code, these can be emailed to customers who can then enter this code into the shopping cart for a discount.
This is an ecommerce website selling books about Lincolnshire by Lincolnshire authors.

IE 6 DUE TO UPDATE
InfoWorld is reporting that on February 12th, Microsoft will roll out Internet Explorer 7 through Windows Server Update Services to all systems - regardless of whether or not the update had been requested previously. The piece also mentions ways to prevent the update from occurring, for sysadmins who do not want to use IE7 on their systems. Microsoft claims that the decision was made due to 'security concerns'.
